If you believe...that the woman caught on that now infamous tape beating her

child did so because "churches teach parents to beat their children" and

"the mother was a victim because the Republican party eliminated

anger-management classes" ...

If you believe...that removing Saddam Hussein and eliminating Iraq as a

major source of funding and support for terrorists "distracts us from the

critical mission of fighting terrorism"....

If you believe...that criminals will not be able to get guns if law-abiding

citizens are denied their Second Amendment rights....

If you believe...that it is proper for government to run a deficit in order

to finance proven social engineering failures like Midnight Basketball and AFDC....

If you believe...that it is proper for government to run a surplus and in so

doing provide law-makers with a tempting opportunity to expand programs

and spending rather than pay down the debt....

If you believe...that the teacher's unions have your children's best

interest at heart when they teach them about "alternative lifestyles",

refuse to accept performance-based appraisals and demand ridiculously small

class sizes....

If you believe...that it is morally appropriate to suck the brains out of

children in the third trimester and that in doing so you are protecting the

"health of the mother"....

If you believe...that paying fully 50% of your income to local, state and

federal governments before you can cash your paycheck is not only good but

that even more should come out....

If you believe...that "it all depends on what the meaning of the word, 'is', is"....

If you believe...that it is smarter to fight terrorism by strip-searching an

80 year old WWII Medal of Honor winner rather than identify persons with

the age/ethnic/religious characteristics proven to be involved in terrorist attacks...

If you believe...a cute, blonde, aspiring actress from California with a JD

will be better for Michigan's environment than a life-long Michigan dairy

farmer who is a proven conservationist....

If you believe...in the superiority of Canada's health care system, where it

is virtually impossible to get an MRI or advanced pharmaceuticals, where

angioplasty is frequently deemed "elective surgery", and that said health care is free...

If you believe...that strapping your children into a sub-compact Honda

Insight is smarter than transporting them in the extra ton of metal safety your

SUV provides...

If you believe...that Republicans want to strangle kittens, starve the

elderly and make children toil in sweatshops.....

If you believe...that clinton, carter and albright actually made us safer

when they provided North Korea with fuel oil, food relief and nuclear power plants.....

If you believe...it is proper social policy to attack "Big Tobacco", "Big Auto", or

"Big Fast Food" in order to enrich a few politically-connected trial lawyers...

If you believe...that a culture that endorses the abuse of women, the

enslavement of children, the murder of non-believers and the destruction of

modern civilization is really on equal moral footing with Western culture...

If you believe...that politicians should have more control over program

content on your television than parents should have over the on/off switch...

If you believe...that the French and Germans have a better prescription for

American security than does Donald Rumsfeld...

If you believe... that George Bush has failed in the War on Terror, even with hundreds

the mountains of Afghanistan, and no terrorist incidents on US soil since 9/11/01 ...

If you believe...that "It's the economy stupid", even after the economic

policies of the 90's are now proven to be little more than

government-approved Corporate Greed on a dot-com-bubble scale....

If you believe...that the military should not only do more with less, but

that we should sell advanced military technology to our enemies, as the DNC did

for the Chinese during the '96 election campaign....

If you believe...if you truly believe in any of the above, then vote

Democrat this fall. That is your party, this is your platform. I'm sure

you're proud to do so.

If you doubt that any of the above are actual statements or policies of the

Democratic Party, please read a newspaper every now and again, or watch the

evening news. You might learn what you've been voting for.
